Alexa Shopping is responsible for providing all the shopping experiences available on the Amazon website and amazon app through Alexa. Since Alexa is your personal assistant, it can provide you a bunch of personalizations on top of it

Buy, Search, Reorder on Echo Show

As part of this project, I led a team of 3 engineers to build a new shopping experience through Alexa Echo Show. Customers can say Buy water bottle on an echo show device and Alexa will provide a list of products and its details. From there, the customer can look for other items, add the item to their cart, or buy it through Alexa. The customers has the option to either talk to Alexa, use the buttons on the screen, or a combination of both.

• Buy, search, and reorder has a combined Daily Active Users of 10K users which generates ~1k purchases on Alexa.
• The front end was done using Alexa Presentation Language and the backend was Java.

Subsequently, I designed, developed, and launched a new customer experience for Add item to cart on Alexa display devices. This reused a bunch of components built by the buy experience. I worked on both the front-end and back-end part for the experience. This experience is used by ~2k customers every day.
